Got us a big ‘un in Willy Brice (Death Valley South) this Satdy!  It’s so funny.  I do respect the Cock fans, but they just will never learn, will they?  You gotta hand it to ‘em. They never give up.  There’s something to be said for that, although I’m not really certain what.

Here we stand, yet again, with their season pretty much on the line (as usual) and ours destined for more.  It has to be hard to be a “cock” fan and they do deserve the utmost respect for their allegiance to their football program, but damn!  How DO they do it?

Year after miserable year, letdown after miserable letdown, close loss after close loss, fumble after interception . . . you’d think that the “curse” would surely end at some point.  But ney, it is not to be.  I actually thought I saw a glimmer of hope for them after the “Ole Miss” victory this season, but it was not to be.  And Mr. Spurrier, or “the “ol’ ball coach” as he has come to be known, seems completely satisified with getting whupped and whipped and scattered and smothered.  I don’t get it!  But, I’m guessing with his big severence package from the Redskins and his membership to Augusta National, he just doesn’t really care.  What’s there left to prove? 

Oh yea, I almost forgot . . . that you can WIN in Columbia!  Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha! 

Go ahead, Steve, pull the sword from the stone.  I’m sure YOU can do it!  Or have you already given up?  Many have tried before you and ALL have failed.  But please, don’t give up!  You’re not a quitter!!!!!  You won the Heisman Trophy!  You won 6 SEC Championships!  You won a National Championship!  You can do it!

Then again . . . maybe you can’t . . .
